The UFC is back in Australia on December 7th, when Fight Night 33 comes to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, and the night will be headlined by a serious match-up. Between these two, there’s nineteen years of international MMA experience. There will be 500 pounds of angry Heavyweight in the Octagon. Both fighters have bags of ‘knockout of the night’ awards to their names. Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva will definitely be bringing the fireworks to Brisbane, and we’ll definitely be watching.

But this one could all be over before we’ve had a chance to really appreciate the power that’s on show. Both of these guys have well-deserved reputations coming into the fight. Both of them are looking to bounce back from disappointing defeats – on the same night, back at UFC 160. So they will both be looking to dominate this fight right from the start. We don’t reckon this fight will go the whole distance by any stretch, and it could all be over inside the first round, but we still reckon there is good value in Hunt at $2.27. Why? X-factor.

Silva is the bookies’ favourite going into the fight, and he’s a big powerful guy who brings some serious skills with him into the bout. But the fact is that he hasn’t been able to bring all his incredible size to bear in his recent fights: in contrast, Hunt looks well able to take apart opponents of any size. It’s Hunt’s striking that is the unpredictable factor in this fight, and we feel that the potential for him to land a series of hard contacts with those heavy hands could easily win him the contest. Definitely, Silva will have to respect that knockout power, and that makes Hunt a tempting bet...
