UFC-MMA Sunday July 28th 2013: The odds and our tips
Demetrious Johnson v John Moraga head to head odds
The headlines in the wake of UFC 163 are most likely to be about this one, and it’ll be a great one to watch, as well as a fight that has a real effect on the Flyweight Division. Johnson is a strong favourite, but don’t rule out a bet on John Moraga, who has some interesting odds on offer. Have a look at Moraga to win by submission or on points at , or at for him to take it on points. The most likely outcome according to the bookies, though, is Johnson on points at . Jessica Andrade v Liz Carmouche head to head odds
We’ll be watching with interest as Jessica Andrade makes her UFC debut against Liz Carmouche. Carmouche was the young debutant back at UFC 157, when Rousey was too strong and too good for her, and she will be hoping to take Andrade to school in much the same way. She’s a strong favourite, as you can see above, but don’t discount Andrade completely – she has a good MMA record behind her, and she’ll be out to make a statement on the 28th!
Rory MacDonald v Jake Ellenberger head to head odds
This bout has been about Rory MacDonald in the build up: he’s the man with the form behind him, and looking to make his way up through the division. But it could be that Ellenberger is just the sort of seasoned pro to put the skates under a young man’s ambitions. Look out especially for Ellenberger’s ability to take an opportunity on the counter-punch, where he will hope to unsettle MacDonald and his game plan. He might be worth a bet to take the fight the distance at , and maybe is good odds for it to be decided on points either way. Find more odds here...
Robbie Lawler v Bobby Voelker head to head odds
We’re really looking forward to this one, which could turn out to be an old-school punch-up from the very start. Both Lawler and Voelker like to be involved in a dust-up that stays off the mat, and we would definitely like to watch them go at it. Lawler is the favourite because of a proven record of taking his opportunities to knock opponents out – if this one stays up off the ground, then an opportunity is likely to come his way sooner or later...
